This week the pair were charged with an additional nine counts according to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-ma\/pr\/two-former-directors-boston-nonprofit-indicted-additional-fraud-charges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Department of Justice<\/a>\u00a0Thursday.<\/p><p>As reported by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblaze.com\/news\/blm-activists-in-boston-facing-even-more-federal-fraud-charges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Blaze<\/a>, the couple founded their own non-profit organization Violence In Boston or VIB in 2017 with the goal of \u201creducing violence, raising social awareness, and aiding community causes in Boston,\u201d citing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.necn.com\/news\/local\/boston-activist-her-husband-facing-new-fraud-charges\/2942417\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">NECN<\/a>, a Boston NBC affiliate.<\/p><p>VIB reportedly partnered with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dcenquirer.com\/leftist-reparations-committee-says-5-million-for-every-black-resident\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Black Lives Matter<\/a>\u00a0extensively in the years that followed, particularly in 2020.
