Congresswoman Cori Bush (D-MO) tweeted on Wednesday that nominee for Speaker of the House Byron Donalds (R-FL) is a “prop” being used by Republicans to push a “policy agenda intent on upholding and perpetuating white supremacy.”

“[For what it’s worth,] @ByronDonalds is not a historic candidate for Speaker. He is a prop. Despite being Black, he supports a policy agenda intent on upholding and perpetuating white supremacy.
